Going in a downward path is an obvious easy way out. But
only if you have people around you that do not truly care for you. Arnold H.
Glasow once stated that, “A true friend never gets in your way unless you
happen to be going down.” Keeping real friends around you will result in a
better life since they will not ever let you go in a wrong direction.
True friends will not get in your way of happiness
because of jealousy or any other reasons. If someone is your real friend they
would want to see you happy and see you doing better. But if they are your true
friend and they get in your way then they feel that you are not going in the
right direction. On the other hand they may not be a true friend and they may
just let you go on that downward path. This is why evaluating who you choose to
call your “friend” is a very important task because it should be known that not
everyone is your friend.
It is also true that not everyone can identify a true
friend. When trying to find out if he/she is a real friend it is always good to
think of this quote while considering their actions. Like if they did or did
not get in your way.
