Hard
work and dedication determines your path in life. Many people think that great
opportunities just pop up. Although sometimes they do, people do not realize
that you have to work hard to get where you want to be in your life. Your
present occupation does not matter unless you are not working hard to move up
to where you want to be. This applies to a variety of different scenarios from
getting a promotion at work to working harder for better grades as a student. When
Proctor says, “… where you CAN go,” it just emphasizes that you can go wherever
you want to in your life but you must put in work so you can get there.
You
can come from any type of background and still make something out of yourself.
There are not any excuses. Most of the successful people in the world or the
ones we call “celebrities” came from a dark background. Although some of them did
not come from great pasts they did not let that stop them from getting to where
they are now. The money and fame they have received did not come from not working. Unless
you became a reality TV star like some “celebrities” who shall remain nameless and
made a sex tape. But overall it does not matter where you are today because you
can always change where you are tomorrow.
I love it Dre 100% true..There is really no excuse because we have the power to determine what goes on in our lives and how we handle things ourselves. Sometimes life may knock us down but we can always find a way to turn our situation around and have it work out for us in the end.

I totally understand where your coming from when your talking about "Always believe that you can do anything you want in life" because without that mind set then your walking right into the life of failure. I mean if you don't at least believe that you can succeed in whatever you do then why even waste your time on it? It makes no sense.Believing is seeing and seeing is believing going by this quote you could see your road to success.

ReplyDeleteI never understood how people could feel content with their fame, fortune, etc, if they have done absolutely nothing to deserve it or earn it themselves. Personally, I feel a lot more proud of an accomplishment if I actually had to work for it & overcome obstacles. I don't just like to have things handed to me, it makes me feel like I don't really deserve them.
ReplyDeleteReally great topic Andre. I really understood and connected with this quote. Hard work is almost the answer for everything. A lot of people carry through out their lives feeling as if they can obtain success by doing aslmost nothing. That is not the case with out hard work you shouldn't expect to do anything great in life.
